Welcome to the brand new learning portal

This is happening and we are here!!

This is truly a dream come true. Actually, NO! I did not think that I will have a learning portal in my life in my wildest dreams. I believe in going with the flow and not resisting change, so this has been a very natural progression. 

I started my blog in 2009, and it was simply a web journal of my decor journey. When I stopped writing for a while in between, I would get emails from readers to know if I am ok, and why there are no new blog posts. There was no instant massaging or DMs or WhatsApp around.  with the onset of social media, the blog posts and social media posts got continuous requests for physical workshops. I started workshops in May of 2018. I conducted one-of-a-kind DIY workshops, lamp making, upholstery for beginners and distress painting etc. The Instagram for Small business workshop started in Jan 2019, the image below is from the first workshop. 

 I announced the workshop in March of 2020 after a gap of close to 4 months and there was a sudden lockdown. To not disappoint the participants who had waited and booked their time, I took the workshop on zoom. Learnt to navigate zoom overnight, bought the webinar membership, learnt my way around and the online workshop was a big hit. 

 And with people from different timelines, different timezones wanting to be a part of the workshops, they turned into pre-recorded courses in July 2020. I learnt things on the fly, applied, made mistakes, learnt new ways of doing things and simply kept going. 

There were a lot of issues with the platform I was on and I had a yearly subscription that was valid till September 2021. But the issues got so out of hand and the fact that I had to pay the platform every month to have an active student, made me start looking elsewhere. I always wanted students to have lifetime access to the courses you've bought. And finally, after a ton of research, I found the platform I wanted to be on permanently and made the jump. 

My single most objective of investing in this platform is to be able to build a tribe that I can call my own, whose values and thoughts match mine and we all can learn from each other, support each other and grow together.
